Licensing and Accreditations

• Innovate Phytoceuticals is pleased to hold an Analytical Testing License under the Cannabis Act and its’ Regulations from Health Canada for the following authorized activities:

  • Possess Cannabis for the purpose of testing

  • Obtain Cannabis by altering its chemical or physical properties by any means for the purpose of testing 

Under the Analytical Testing License, Innovate Phytoceuticals offers standardized testing for Cannabis, such as: potency testing cannabinoid, terpene & bioflavonoid profiling; pesticide; heavy metal & residual solvent screening as well as toxicological & microbial analyses and much more. 

• Innovate Phytoceuticals is pleased to hold multiple Research Licenses under the Cannabis Act and its’ Regulations from Health Canada to possess and produce Cannabis for the purpose of research. The following authorized activities under these licenses have been approved by Health Canada: 

  • The production and identification of novel and unique Cannabis strains

  • Custom array analyses to determine of the level of expression in a gene or genes of interest

  • Single cell regeneration through tissue culture based propagation to facilitate the introduction of new genes

  • High throughput CO2 extraction method development

  • Metabolomic profiling

  • CBD Nanoemulsion 

• Innovate Phytoceuticals has recently been awarded a cannabis nursery license under the Cannabis Act and its Regulations from Health Canada. The following authorized activities under this license have been approved by Health Canada: 

  • Possess and obtain cannabis plants or seeds by propagating, cultivating or harvesting

  • Develop and sell novel cultivars in plant or seed form 

  • Perform various tissue culture activities

  • Sell and distribute cannabis plants and/or seeds to licensed producers

• Innovate Phytoceuticals holds a Controlled Drugs and Substances Dealer’s License under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act from Health Canada. This license allows for the possession, production, assembly, R&D, sale, import and export of controlled drugs and substances. The company is licensed to conduct these activities with 20 different controlled substances, including psilocybin, psilocin, lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), MDMA and mescaline.
